Etna – a red-hot volcano keeps erupting in Italy’s Sicilia – is eponymous to the most dynamic wine scene in the world, and Monteleone winery is one of the recent rising stars in the region.
Giulia Monteleone of Monteleone represents the new generation of young, passionate and talented wine makers in Etna. Even though without winemaking experience, she embarked on the new adventure to establish a winery in Etna. From zero to hero, it only took Giulia 2 harvests to get her first Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso in 2021 and her second Tre Bicchieri in 2022. These achievements have proven her abilities and success in the Etna wine scene.

Vino Missionari is proud to present the Monteleone wines and “Meeting Etna Supernova Giulia Monteleone” tasting event. In this 1.5 hours Zoom tasting with Giulia Monteleone, participants will have the chance to learn the story of Giulia, her secret of success, the less known Contrada Cuba, and most importantly, to taste her 6 wines including those Tre Bicchieri ones. The tasting will be led by Mr Vincent Yuen IWA, IWS, DipWSET, certified Etna Wine Enthusiast, the author of a renowned Italian Wine book written in Chinese and an Italian wine educator.
Currently Giulia’s wines are not represented in Hong Kong, so this would be a precious opportunity to be among the first to taste her award-winning wines in Hong Kong.
